Davinci Resolve I        February 09, 2017           (4:00pm - 6:30pm)

Attendees will be introduced to best practices for bringing a locked edit into DaVinci Resolve, and proceeding with the workflow of color-grading. Students will learn about colorist philosophies for different genres and exporting to Apple ProRes. (Large Edit 224)

Basic Cameras        February 15, 2017                (2:00pm - 4:30pm)

Attend this workshop to learn about basic cameras, including Vixias and DSLRs. Students will learn how to manually adjust exposure/quality settings, use an external microphone, set up a tripod, manage footage. (Meet at Cage)

Recording Studio        March 1, 2017                 (2:00pm - 4:30pm)

Attend this workshop to learn about the Film Centre's Recording Studio. Anyone interested in using the studio MUST attend this workshop (former workshop attendees, and students enrolled in recording studio courses excepted). Participants will learn about mic placement, recording studio etiquette, signal routing, and creating and exporting a basic Pro Tools session. (Recording Studio)

Come learn about the more advanced cameras the Cage has to offer. Attendees will get an overview of the Canon C300, Sony FS7, and Arri Amira. Keep in mind that class standing (Senior, Grad, etc) and major/minor declaration will still dictate what cameras a student can check out from the Cage.

AC Workshop        April 19, 2017                         (2:00pm - 4:30pm)

This workshop will cover the basic duties of 1st and 2nd Assistant Camera positions. Special attention will be paid to lenses, camera accessories, and pulling focus.

Learn how to import footage into a Non-Linear Editor (NLE), manage files, make basic cuts and transitions, add titles, and export based on quality/file size needs. (Room 239)
